Home

I reported to the mtc (missionary training center - located in Provo, it
Utah) in May 22, 2013. I was there for six weeks learning Portuguese and how to share the gospel with the world.
On July 1st 2013 I was sent to Biloxi, MS to serve my mission as I waited for my visa to Brazil. I served in MS for three months. My back had already had problems before I left, but ended up getting worse.
By the end of September of 2013, my back was so bad it was really limiting me to the work. I went on my porch in my apartment alone, took my scriptures, and a note pad. I began with a prayer, and wrote on the piece of paper, "do I need to go home, or should I stay on my mission?" I opened my scriptures and started reading. I turned pages, read a few verses; flipped a few more pages, read a few more pages. I continued this fir a while. About every thirty minutes I wrote a more specific question, and continued praying. I kept reading scriptures that said along the lines of, "he returned to the city." Iv wondered if those scriptures meant that I should return home, it return to the work.
About two hours after I started, I finally wrote a very specific question, "do you want me to go home now?" I said another prayer, closed my scriptures, closed my eyes and asked Heavenly Father to guide my fingers. I opened to Alma 10. I started reading then came to the verse that gave me my direct answer, "return to thine own house." It turned out it was my time to go home.
I have been home since September 25, 2013. It is now January 26th 2014. I would have only had one month to make my half way Mark if I was still on my mission. I have been going to physical therapy, osteopaths, neurologists, pain management, and have had multiple father and healing blessings. I have been promised full healing. There is a purpose why I'm home; but what exactly that is, I do not know. One thing I do know, is that my faith, my hope, and testimony us being tested. I pray that I week past the test, and be a stronger woman in the end. I will start posting more frequent about my back and experiences. If you have any questions or comments, you can comment on one of these posts and I will reply. Thanks to whoever reading these, and please pay that I'll be able to do what God desires of me. Have a great Sunday!
